Answers to the following questions can be found by clicking on the question or scrolling this page.
Can you help me find a qualified crew?
As a courtesy, crew referrals are available from MC Lighting & Production Services; however, the production entity must determine for itself the suitability of any individual referred by MCL. MC Lighting & Production Services assumes no liability for its referrals. Crew members work as independent contractors and therefore bill independently.
Will you take your equipment out of the country?
MCL will work outside of the US. Special attention must be paid to insurance and costume clearances. Contact Us for details.
What happens if it rains?
Rain doesn't mean the shoot has to come to a stop. We are skilled at protecting the equipment so your work can continue. When the gear is warped it will be cleaned and dried. See also rain days under budgeting.
Are there precautions that should be taken to keep the crew healthy?
Houston has a near tropical climate in the summer months and temperatures can break a hundred. If exteriors are planned for the summer, water and gatorade are a must. Without this support heat stroke is a real possibility. Houston winters are mild, but the humidity can make it almost impossible to stay warm. Therefore if exteriors are planned for the winter months, providing the crew with a place to warm up will increase their productivity.
