The Early Years

After going to college for several years on a drama and tech scholarship I switched schools and majored in Radio TV and Film, at the University of Texas. After I received my degree I left Austin and accepted a position with Houston's St. Lukes Episcopal Hospital. Working with Dr. Denton Cooley and others, I produced medical programming that was seen around the world.

In 1980 I left St. Lukes to produce the documentary "Mended Dreams" for The Institute of Rehabilitation and Research which aired twice on PBS and earned two national awards.

In 1984 I secured a sizable part of the 1.5 million dollars that funded the feature film "Billy Galvin". The film was shot in Boston, and starred Karl Malden, Joyce Van Patten, Lenny Von Dohlen and Toni Kalem.

In 1986 I opened MC Lighting & Production Services to assist production companies with their lighting and grip needs. To avoid conflicts of interest, I no longer work as a producer / director.
