I have been a fulltime Gaffer/Lighting Director for 12 years. During this time I have implemented, and/or, designed the look of local and national commercials. These advertisements include work for: Pennzoil, Unilocal, Six Flags, Academy, Fingers, Arizona Sportswear Blue Ribbon, Houston Lighting & Power and Foley's.

I have worked with, a number of independent feature films, that were budgeted under a million dollars. An example of which is, "The Marino Kid" which earned recognition at the 1996 World Fest Film Festival and is currently scheduled for release. On a larger scale I was Rigging Gaffer for "The Chase", starring Charlie Sheen and Kristy Swanson.

My work, along with that of my team, has contributed to reality based programming like America's Most Wanted, and the CBS series "Ed Bradley Reports".

In 1996, I was the Lighting Director for the Children's Series, "Down At The Zoo." This program is currently being aired in Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, and Korea. In South America "Down At The Zoo" is carried by The Discovery Channel, and thanks to a recent agreement, the show will be seen in Australia, France and the UK on the Disney Channel. Currently, Zoo reaches 80% of the US spanish speaking population and sales efforts continue to bring it to the United States english speaking market, as well as the rest of the world.

Aside from broadcast television, I have worked on a host of sales and training programs, for corporations like Exxon, Chevron, and Shell. I am at home with the technical aspects of video and enjoy blending film based lighting techniques with the video format.

On the music scene I have worked with Country, Rap, Rock, and Tejano acts; a few of which have earned national recognition: The Geto Boy's song, "My Mind Is Playing Tricks On Me", was named #33 on Rolling Stones list of the 100 Best Music Videos Of All Times. In the Latin Market, I was lighting director for Selena's last music video "No Me Queda Mas," which earned the title of "Best Music Video Of The Year" at the 1995 Tejano Music Awards.

Before I made a living as a gaffer / Lighting Director, I was activly involved in the production of video tape and film. If you would like to know more about my background, check out the early years.

Samples of my work and references are available upon request. Please check out my client list (production companies) and my end user list (the company or organization the work was done for).
